Natalie's Love of the Dishwasher

I only have experience with one cat. Her name was Keeky (we never spelled it, so I'm not sure how to spell it). She lived in my childhood home for as long as I can remember. She wasn't particularly loving or cuddly. In fact, she wandered the house and the yard without paying us much attention at all. But she did have a few lovable quirks. That cat had a sense of hearing that was remarkable. When she heard the sound of the can opener in the kitchen, she came racing to the kitchen, anticipating a treat. It was truly amazing. Whenever we needed her or were curious where she was, all we had to do was hit the can opener and she came running.

I wrote all that for this reason. Our Natalie is displaying Keeky's traits, only it isn't the can opener. It's the dishwasher. Natalie LOVES the dishwasher. As soon as she hears the whoosh of the door opening, her head perks up and she speedily crawls to the kitchen, not to be distracted by anything else. Once she gets to the dishwasher, she starts pulling things out, climbing, playing with the pull-out shelves... you name it.

Enjoy these pictures and think of her the next time you open your dishwasher.

(FYI: This bruised head is the same as in the box picture...believe it or not, her head is now beautifully clear. Unfortunately, now her lip is fat after splitting it yesterday!)

Thanks for sharing the cute stories. It's so funny to see how different the kids are from each other. As I can remember Allyson being so calm and almost suspiscious looking at Natalies age (and never getting into any trouble...) It's interesting to see Natalie being so curious about everything. They are both such a blessing, and we miss spending time with you guys and the girls.

Thank you! The building anticipation for the photos proved to be well worth the wait. (I liked your teaser, photos, dishwasher, Natalie) What a precious little girl you have! She sure is a cutie! Glad that her bruise is healed. Love, Grandma Sheila
