Apple Crumble Pie

We made these pies at MOPS last week. So yummy.

And, any recipe that uses Ziploc bags is worth a try! NO DISHES!

5 cups peeled baking apples
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 unbaked pie shell

Topping:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter

Combine the first 5 ingredients in a gallon-size Ziploc. Squish it around and let sit for a few minutes to get nice and juicy. Pour into pie shell.

Combine the topping ingredients in another Ziploc (can be quart-size). Crumble over the pie.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375; bake for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is browned and apples are tender. Cover crust edges with foil during the last 15 minutes if needed. Cool completely before cutting.
